The project reunites Kendrick with director Jeffrey Blitz, who also directed the singing actress in "Rocket Science."
The new comedy, which concerns "a group of strangers who are marooned at the misfits table at a destination wedding," will also feature Craig Robinson, Lisa Kudrow, Stephen Merchant, Tony Revolori, June Squibb, Wyatt Russell and Amanda Crew.
Filming will begin in Atlanta next week. Producers are 21 Laps and 3311; the executive producer is Tom McNulty.
A young Kendrick was Tony-nominated for her performance in High Society.
