Casey Hushion directs Ken Ludwig's adaptation of the Agatha Christie classic at the New Jersey theatre.

Paper Mill Playhouse's production of Ken Ludwig's adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express officially opened April 23 following previews that began April 19. Directed by Casey Hushion, the production plays the New Jersey venue through May 14.

The cast features Leanne Antonio (The Lion King) as Mary Debenham, Gisela Chípe as Countess Andrenyi, Anthony Cochrane (War Horse) as Hercule Poirot, Donna English (Lend Me a Tenor) as Princess Dragomiroff, Stephanie Gibson (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) as Greta Ohlsson, Alex Mandell (Hand to God) as Hector MacQueen, Graham Stevens (Beetlejuice) as Michel/Headwaiter, Mark Jude Sullivan (To Be or Not To Be) as Col. Arbuthnot/Samuel Ratchett, Evan Zes (The Kite Runner) as Monsieur Bouc, and Tony winner Karen Ziemba (Curtains, Contact) as Helen Hubbard. Emily Harvey, Kelsey Rainwater, Alex Syiek, and Price Waldman serve as understudies.

The classic thriller follows a train full of suspects, who each have an alibi, and detective Hercule Poirot, who tries to solve the murder mystery. Tony-nominated playwright Ludwig also penned the comedy Lend Me a Tenor and the book for the Tony-winning musical Crazy for You.

The production also has scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, scenic coordination by Nate Bertone and Jessica Alexandra Cancino, costume design by Mariah Hale, lighting design by Charlie Morrison, sound design by Matt Kraus, hair and wig design by Carissa Thorlakson, and projection design by Jason Lee Courson.

The production stage manager is Andrea Cibelli. Casting is by JZ Casting.
