Casting has been revealed for Goodspeed Musicals' upcoming production of the new musical Ask for the Moon, playing the Connecticut company's Norma Terris Theatre beginning July 19 and opening August 7. Performances run through August 11.

Ali Ewoldt is leading the company as Charlotte St. Clair, opposite Jamison Stern as Schroeder/Persimmon/Misha/Grider, Luba Mason as Helene Huber, and Alex Dreschke as Body Double. Casting is by Hardt Casting's Paul Hardt.

The new musical, featuring a book and lyrics by Tony winner Darko Tresnjak (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder) and music by Oran Eldor, is set aboard the Jewel of the Sea ocean liner, following the wacky passengers on its manifest.

Tresnjak is directing, with choreography by Karla Puno Garcia (Days of Wine and Roses), music direction by Ian Axness, scenic design by Alexander Dodge, costume design by Jen Caprio, lighting design by Philip Rosenberg, sound design by Jay Hilton, and hair and make-up design by Tom Watson. Doug Besterman is orchestrating, and fight choreography will be by Rocio Mendez. Puppet design and fabrication is by Simple Mischief Studio. Pamela Remler will be production stage manager.
