In 1992, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty brought My Favorite Year, a musical adaptation of the film of the same title, to Broadway. The musical opened on December 10 at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre starring Tim Curry, Lainie Kazan, Andrea Martin, and Evan Pappas. Ahrens and Flaherty went on to write Ragtime, Seussical, and most recently, the Broadway adaptation of Anastasia.
