When The Gunfighter Meets His Match bows at the New York Musical Festival July 30 (through August 4), no doubt audiences will be talking about star Kristen DiMercurio.
In the video above, the actor unleashes her powerful voice in the song “Could Be” by the musical’s book writer and composer-lyricist Abby Payne. Set in the Wild West, the number marks the lead character’s decision to first go West and fulfill her dreams. The musical spins into a love story inspired by the New York City music scene and the short stories of Louis L’Amour and what he’s willing to risk for his great love.
Part of NYMF’s 15th annual festival, the production features choreography by Glitter Kitty Productions and plays the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row. Click here for tickets and more information.
