An private presentation of The Full Monty, the 2000 musical from Tony winners Terrence McNally and David Yazbek, took place May 7. Among the cast were Kinky Boots Tony nominee Stark Sands (currently on Broadway in To Kill a Mockingbird), Tony winner Debra Monk, and stage favorite Adam Chanler-Berat.

Leigh Silverman directed the reading, producer Tom Kirdahy (McNally's husband and frequent collaborator) confirmed to Playbill.

Also taking part were Tony nominee Phillip Boykin, Bonnie Milligan, Greg Hildreth, Kenita R. Miller, Natalie Cortez, Alysha Umphress, Nikka Graff Lanzarone, Raymond J. Lee, Trevor Salter, Jaygee Macapugay, Jonathan Raviv, Rachel Stern, and Julian Lerner.

No word yet on any official plans for a new production of the musical.

The show, based on the 1997 British comedy of the same name, follows a group of Buffalo steelworkers who, in the throes of unemployment and searching for a way to make ends meet, set out to bare it all in a strip show.

The 2000 Broadway production earned 10 Tony nominations, including nods for Yazbek, McNally, and original stars Patrick Wilson, John Ellison Conlee, André De Shields, and Kathleen Freeman.

Bookwriter McNally and composer Yazbek are currently represented on Broadway with a revival of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune (produced by Kirdahy) and the new musical Tootsie, respectively.
