Carey Mulligan in Girls & Boys

The American premiere of Dennis Kelly's monologue play Girls & Boys, starring Carey Mulligan, officially opened at the Minetta Lane Theatre Off-Broadway June 27. The production from London’s Royal Court was originally scheduled to open June 20 but delayed its press opening due to Mulligan sustaining a minor injury and a subsequent shift in performance schedule.

Girls & Boys began performances June 12 and is scheduled to play through July 22. The play tells the story of a woman whose world has taken a disturbing turn.

The solo play is directed by Olivier Award winner Lyndsey Turner (Chimerica, Posh) and is a co-production with Audible, which will release Mulligan's performance as an audio play following the run.
