An operatic adaptation of Angels in America arrived in the U.S. New York City Opera, concluding its 2016–2017 season. This production marks the New York premiere of the Peter Eötvös’ opera.
The opera condenses Tony Kushner’s two-part Pulitzer Prize-winning drama into one work. Performances run June 10, 12, 14, and 16 at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater. Sam Helfrich directs; Pacien Mazzagatti conducts.
