Roundabout Theatre Company’s Broadway transfer of its Off-Broadway hit, Joshua Harmon’s romantic play Significant Other, has announced its rush ticket discount policy—and plans for a special opening night contest.

A limited number of $35 rush tickets for Significant Other are now available for purchase in person at the Booth Theatre box office (222 West 45th Street) beginning at 10 AM Monday through Saturday, and beginning at noon Sundays for that day's performance(s) only. There is a limit of two tickets per person and they can be purchased with either cash or credit, along with a valid photo ID on a first-come first-served basis. Tickets are subject to availability and may not be offered at all performances. Rush seating locations will be determined at the discretion of the box office.

As for the opening night contest, the show is offering prizes for the best photo of fans with their “significant others” to be posted on the show’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages. Entrants to the #SignificantBFF Opening Night Contest need to post a photo of their BFF with the hashtag #SignificantBFF, and why he/she is significant. The grand prize winner will receive an opening night package that includes dinner and drinks for two at the midtown restaurant Becco, two tickets for the March 2 opening night of Significant Other, and passes to the opening night party following the performance.

Three runners-up will receive a pair of tickets to a post-opening performance of Significant Other, and an exclusive Significant Other merchandise package that includes a limited edition baseball hat, a “Who’s Your Significant Other?” T-shirt, and an opening night Playbill signed by the cast.

The contest deadline is February 23; winners will be announced February 24.

Reprising their roles from the Off-Broadway production are Gideon Glick, Oscar and Tony nominee Barbara Barrie, John Behlmann, Sas Goldberg, Lindsay Mendez, and Luke Smith. New to the company for the Broadway run is Rebecca Naomi Jones.

Directed by Trip Cullman, the Broadway debut of author Harmon (Bad Jews) has choreography by Sam Pinkleton (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, Amélie), scenic design by Mark Wendland (Tony Award nominee, The Merchant of Venice, Next to Normal), costume design by Kaye Voyce (The Real Thing, The Realistic Joneses), lighting design by Japhy Weideman (Tony Award nominee, The Visit, Airline Highway, Of Mice and Men), and sound design by Daniel Kluger (The Common Pursuit).

“Meet Jordan Berman. He’s single. And he has a date with a co-worker to see a documentary about the Franco-Prussian war,” according to production notes. “At least, he thinks it’s a date. Significant Other follows Jordan and his three closest friends as they navigate love, friendship and New York in the twenty-something years.”

Full-price tickets are on sale at Telecharge.com, by phone at (212) 239-6200, or in-person at the Booth Theatre box office (222 West 45th Street, Manhattan).
