The recently postponed North American tour of Jim Steinman’s Bat Out of Hell – The Musical, which had been scheduled to kick off November 6 at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, will now launch in 2019 with stops in St. Paul, Dallas, and Washington, D.C.
These dates will precede the previously announced run at New York City Center, which will begin performances July 30.
The production is working with everyone involved to reschedule dates, and additional news about the North American tour will be announced soon.
Based on the cult 1977 Meat Loaf album of the same name (composed by Steinman), Bat Out of Hell is produced by David Sonenberg, Michael Cohl, Randy Lennox, and Tony Smith.
Under the direction of by Jay Scheib, the touring production of Bat Out of Hell was originally scheduled to perform in San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Denver, Boston, Philadelphia, and Dallas, among other cities.
The production stars Andrew Polec (who starred as Strat in the London and Toronto engagements of the show) with Emily Schultheis as Raven, Bradley Dean as Falco, Lulu Lloyd as Sloane, Avionce Hoyles as Tink, Harper Miles as Zahara, and Tyrick Wiltez Jones as Jagwire.
