Playful Imagination In Motion (Professional Level Course)
Lead by LAMDA tutor Heriberto Montalban
Drawing on the energy of anarchic vitality, participants will be encouraged to break free from conventional boundaries and embrace bold, untamed expressions of the self. Emphasis will be placed on creative autonomy, empowering each individual to find their unique voice and movement language within a supportive and collaborative environment. You’ll leave the course feeling courageous, playful and energized in your movement practice.
This course is designed for individuals who have graduated from a drama programme or have equivalent professional experience. Minimum age is 21.

Introduction to Shakespeare (Introductory Level Course)
Lead by Director and LAMDA Double Graduate Sean Martin
We’ll start from the very beginning – taking you through a toolbox of exercises which will demystify Shakespeare’s language, help you connect imaginatively to the rhythm and poetry of his writing, and allow you to develop the freedom and confidence to playfully embody his characters.
If you’re thinking about auditioning for classical productions and/or drama programs, either in the USA, UK, or elsewhere in the world, this course will give you an excellent grounding in the fundamentals of Shakespeare, and get you feeling confident to select, prepare and perform audition material.
This course is designed for actors of all levels interested in learning more about performing Shakespeare’s texts. Minimum age is 18.

Classes run 10am - 5:30pm and are facilitated in partnership with American Friends of LAMDA (AFLAMDA) at A.R.T./NY Studios in midtown Manhattan. LAMDA is the UK’s oldest drama school and has trained some of Britain’s (and the world’s) foremost actors.
