OTHER
At the turn of the 20th century, two premier celebrities beard convention with an act of defiance. As stars Eva Tanguay and Julian Eltinge straddle their on- and off-stage personas, their latest engagement satirizes
gender, respectability, and marriage. Is it a publicity stunt or something more personal? Acclaimed local playwright Jeffrey Neuman infuses vaudeville song and show into a surprisingly timely story that explores the explosive crossroads of gender, fame, sexuality, and power.

Equity’s contracts prohibit discrimination. Equity is committed to diversity and encourages all its employers to engage in a policy of equal employment opportunity designed to promote a positive model of inclusion. As such, Equity encourages performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and ages, as well as performers with disabilities, to submit.

SEEKING
Equity actors for roles in THE HEADLINERS.

Eva Tanguay: 20’s-40’s, “The Queen of Vaudeville” also known as “The I Don’t Care Girl.” A force of nature, whose personality is just as untamed as her uncontrolled, uncontrollable head of hair. Wild belt ie (Bette Midler),

Julian Eltinge: 20’s-late 30’s, “Eltinge, The American Star.” An artiste. A consummate craftsman onstage who lives a life of learned cautiousness off. Lyric Bari-tenor with a softer quality

Stage Manager - Male, 40's-70's, two different stage managers at two different vaudeville theaters, though played by the same actor.
