  • RWS Entertainment Group is searching for a Sr. Director, Show + Theatrical Creative Content, to develop and lead the creative for all production show and theatrical experiences.

    Reporting to the VP, Creative Content, the Sr. Director, Show + Theatrical Creative Content is responsible for creation and creative direction of RWS stage experiences.  Overseeing a team of theatrical creatives, the Sr. Director, Show + Theatrical Creative Content will be responsible for creating and scripting theatrical and production show experiences. The Sr. Director, Show + Theatrical Creative Content is also responsible for upholding the RWS brand standards and ensuring the creative vision is executed to client specifications.

    Role & Responsibilities

    Creative for theatrical and production shows in the leisure and attractions space.
  • Establish a creative vision and manage its implementation from ideation to execution.
  • Present and clearly articulate vision + strategy behind ideas to executive level clients and internal stakeholders
  • Lead concept development and creative development processes for scripted experiences, including character development, scripting, and initial creative.
  • Oversee all elements to ensure the project is cohesive while sticking with an aesthetic and concept from start to finish.
  • Clearly communicate creative intent via storyboards/mood boards and other tools.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the production services, production operations, talent, and project management teams.
  • Create close partnerships across the company to work as a cohesive team and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Vetting new creatives and managing a creative team.
  • Stay abreast of market developments and emerging avenues in the industry.
  • Support teams that embrace and curate innovation.
  • Evaluate and guide projects to meet brand standards and quality control.
  • Budget oversight on assigned projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, Playwriting, Scripting, Creative Direction, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of show creation in events and live entertainment
  • Portfolio of work that displays a strong grasp of leisure and attractions entertainment and brand voice
  • Passionate about leisure and attractions entertainment
  • Experience leading a team of creatives and interfacing with executive leaders
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, projects, ad hoc assignments, and deadlines
  • Advance skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) or a willingness to learn
  • Motivated and effective self-started with a record of project success
  • Effective communicator and organizer
  • Results oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and an innovative approach
  • A flexible schedule but must have the ability to travel up to 40% of the year, both domestically and internationally.

A valid passport for the duration of employment for all travel-related roles. Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (or proof of exemption) will be required.

  • Estimated Start Date: ASAP

    Reports to: VP, Creative Content

    Status: Mobile/Remote

    Mobile (in NY/NJ/CT Metro Area): Team members who are pre-approved to regularly perform their job responsibilities remotely up to two (2) days per week, with three (3) days per week operating out of the RWS New York City headquarters.
  • Remote (outside of NY/NJ/CT Metro Area): Team members who are pre-approved to work remotely on a regular basis.

Salary: Minimum $90,000 annual exempt salary
