The Pekoe Group is an award-winning, fast paced, full service advertising agency in NYC, working with the city's top Broadway shows, Off-Broadway shows, and restaurants.
We are seeking a Full Time Media Planner to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Developing and maintaining media plans and flowcharts across all channels (Digital, Direct Response, Print, Outdoor, Broadcast, Streaming, and Agency fees), with a strong emphasis on digital strategy and budget allocation
- Staying informed on evolving digital advertising trends, platforms, and best practices to enhance media planning strategies
- Working closely with the Digital Media Manager to ensure digital buys align with broader media strategies and client goals
- Requesting and evaluating advertising rates, proposals, and audience insights from media vendors, with an eye towards improving digital buying efficiency
- Negotiating and managing bookings for all media placements, ensuring proper documentation and budget tracking
- Organizing and maintaining media vendor contracts for each client
- Ensuring seamless integration between digital and traditional media within each plan, leveraging cross-channel strategies when possible
- Communicating daily with the Finance department for billing and payment of media and agency fees
- Communicating advertising deadlines, specifications, and creative needs to Project Management, ensuring on-time asset delivery and trafficking
- Communicating closely with Account Management/Client Services for any inquiries and requests from clients in a timely manner
- Working with the Digital Media Manager and coordinators to manage digital-specific deadlines, ad trafficking, and platform optimizations
- Tracking media placements, including securing photos, screenshots, pre-logs, post-logs, and air checks for proof of performance
- Analyzing and reporting on digital and traditional media performance within client reports, identifying trends and optimizations
- Collaborating with the Digital Media Manager to interpret digital performance data and recommend strategic adjustments
- Maintaining regular communication with media vendors, keeping up to date on new opportunities and innovations
- Scheduling and taking notes during media vendor meetings, ensuring key insights and action items are captured
- Supporting internal media meetings by taking notes and circulating key takeaways
- Working closely with the Digital Media Manager and Digital Advertising Coordinators on day-to-day media planning and execution tasks
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Must be able to manage time to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- At least one (1) year of work experience in a similar capacity, in a theatrical agency or theatre organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Google Drive
