DESCRIPTION

The Marketing Coordinator works closely with the core marketing team, under daily supervision of the Associate Director, Marketing Campaigns, to support the ongoing marketing needs to successfully promote the Metropolitan Opera season. This position serves as a key player in creating and trafficking marketing assets for presence across the Met and Lincoln Center campus.

Primary Responsibilities

    • Assist in the creation, proofing, trafficking, and installation of various front of house materials across the opera house and Lincoln Center, including, but not limited to: stanchions, 3-sheets, banners, lobby plasmas, and digital signage
    • Research relevant organizations and build relationships to implement cross promotional efforts in support of all operas in the Met’s season
    • Coordinate the internal setup of promotions, including source codes, promotion codes, and offer details, as well as communicating offer details to internal departments and tracking results
    • Facilitate list exchanges for direct mailings
    • Log the department payroll and manage out of office calendar
    • Assist onsite at various marketing and public programming events as required
    • Provide administrative support for various marketing projects and general office needs

Skills & Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • 1-2 years’ experience in marketing, arts administration, or relevant internships
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
    • Supremely detail oriented and able to prioritize in high-pressure environment
    • Strong copywriting and editing skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and willingness to learn new software and technology
    • Interest in/knowledge of opera a plus. Interest in the arts a necessity

Physical Demands

    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be flexible in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
    • Must work well as a part of a large team, collaborating across departments, and individually
    • Must be available to work evenings and weekends as requested
$50,000 - $55,000 a year

SALARY

$50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
