Electronic LightSuit / Stage Technician - Las Vegas, NV (2024)

Las Vegas Based Position + Touring Opportunities

iLuminate is a company that fuses technology and art in live entertainment (www.iLuminate.com). We are currently seeking an experienced Technician to join our technical team on iLuminate’s Las Vegas residency at The Strat. This is a part time position that will assist in building, maintaining, and repairs of light suits, props, and systems, including working shows backstage during the performances. Backstage responsibilities during performances include testing and fixing suits, as well as assisting with some deck tracking during the show.

The show runs 6 days a week, with both matinee and evening performances. Candidates must be based in the Las Vegas, NV area to be considered - hired as Las Vegas locals.

There is opportunity for growth and travel within the company for individuals who are a strong fit. Ideal candidates will be available for touring opportunities - upcoming tour dates are March 28 - May 12, 2025.

Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a live event technician
* Proficient soldering skills
* Proficient with signal flow concepts and troubleshooting
* Computer savvy
* Experience working with dancers and other onstage talent
* Works well under pressure, and is a team player
* Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to maintain a positive outlook when faced with challenges
* Must be self-motivated, have initiative, and be able work with little to no supervision
* Good hand dexterity, attentiveness to detail, and efficiency + speed are a must
* Able to take direction with a positive attitude and work well/ respect fellow colleagues
* Ability to perform essential functions of the job inclusing, but not limitied to: crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods of time, lifting up to 40lbs unassisted
* Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
* Touring experience a plus

Responsibilities / Duties:
* Day to day maintenance of light suits,set pieces, and work on projects as assigned by Lead Technician
* Assist deck track during performances as scheduled
* Maintain quality work practices and maintenance techniques
* Promote and adhere to team-oriented philosophy stressing the importance for providing unparalleled commitment to excellence
* Contribute to a safe and positive working environment at all times by adhering to and following all iLuminate standards, values, policies and regulations.
* Collaborate with other departments when necessary for cross-departmental support
* Complete all other job-related duties as assigned
