One of the more prolific Broadway lead-producing offices is seeking an Executive Assistant/Office Manager to support its upcoming slate of productions and developmental activities. Among its 40+ Broadway productions are: The Sound Inside, Lifespan of a Fact, American Son, Significant Other, Fiddler on the Roof, American Psycho, Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill, All the Way, The Glass Menagerie, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess, Gore Vidal’s The Best Man, The Merchant of Venice, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Race, Blithe Spirit, Will Ferrell: You’re Welcome America…, Speed the Plow, and August: Osage County.
Working closely with the producers, the Executive Assistant/Office Manager will be responsible for covering phones, managing calendar, coordinating travel, script coverage; assisting with readings and workshops; covering phones; special projects (e.g., production study guides), fielding inquiries from local and national media, data base updates and maintenance, tracking finances and expenses, maintaining all office supplies and needs; and miscellaneous administrative support.
The position is full-time and in-office.
-Bachelor’s Degree in Theater Management, Performing Arts or similar preferred.
-Familiarity with current theatre environment & players (including NY commercial and major not-for-profit arenas)
-Knowledge of theatre history & criticism
-Administrative and/or assistant experience
-Basic/intermediate graphic design skills and proficiency in Mac, MS Office, and WordPress
-Excellent communication skills, organization and attention to detail
-A sense of humor and a love of dogs
