DESCRIPTION
Parity Productions promotes parity by empowering women and gender-expansive artists in theater. In fulfilling our mission, we:
- Commission original plays
- Produce and promote the work of playwrights, directors, and designers
- Provide opportunities for underrepresented voices to work in theatre
Responsibilities: - Oversee all external company communications
- Develop and execute marketing plans based on Parity’s artistic content, mission and branding
- Oversee all branding for website, advertisements, marketing materials, etc (with Graphics & Media Manager)
- Develop and manage all press relationships
- Maintain company websites (with Graphics & Media Manager)
- Write and/or proofread copy for all marketing materials
- Maintain all Social Media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) with Social Media Manager
- Manage all email marketing/newsletters (with Graphics & Media Manager)
- Produce Parity marketing and fundraising events (Awards Ceremony & Celebration, plus table readings and live readings)
- Develop promotional materials for Fundraising Events, Plays and Readings, Artists, Partners, and Affiliates
- Conduct outreach and distribution of marketing materials for events and productions
- Support outreach to artists

Salary: $32-42K, depending on experience
Requirements: - 3-5 years of experience with Content Development
- Program and Event Descriptions
- Marketing and Promotions
- Proposals, specifications, technical documents
- 3-5 years of experience in Branding, Marketing Communication, and Strategy
- 3-5 years of experience in Press Relations and Communication Management
- Familiarity with audience development strategies, graphic design, e-commerce, social media strategies, SEO, and digital marketing
- Desire and motivation to guide and represent Parity’s mission in the arts community
- Ready to develop, implement, and lead an overall communications strategy
- Knowledge of and/or strong interest in performing arts
- Excellent writing skills
- Familiarity with Squarespace and Shopify a plus
- Familiarity with marketing works of fine arts for sale a plus
