DESCRIPTION

The York Theatre Company, an award winning non-profit off-Broadway theatre now in its 52nd year is looking for a Company Manager beginning October 5,2022-January 2,2023 Reporting to the Executive Director and the Managing Director, the Company Manager will be responsible for being the point person for Cheek to Cheek, Irving Berlin in Hollywood, the Oscar Hammerstein Award evening November 14, and Hoagy Carmichael’s Stardust Road.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to serving as liaison to the acting company, designers, directors and crew members, creating and distributing contracts, making contact sheets, being present for all rehearsals and shows throughout the run(nights and weekends required), contact person for unions, payable and receivable, special project management, assisting with special events/parties, assist casting agent in offer memos and auditions,serving as point person on production, preparing show payroll and union benefit sheets for each show.

Successful candidates will have an in-depth Knowledge of AEA, USA, AFM and SDC, basic knowledge of Ovationtix, excellent written and verbal skills, ability to deal with varying personalities and 1-2 years company management experience in an equity theater. Certified Covid-19 compliance officer training a plus. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of Photoshop preferred. We are looking for a positive energetic leader who enjoys musical theatre and working closely with a small and dedicated staff.
