Child Guardian - Yaya Theatre Company

Yaya Theatre Company is seeking a Child Guardian to oversee the care, professional behavior,

and well-being of our child actors. The guardian will help foster an environment where young

performers can work professionally and safely.

Role Overview:

The Child Guardian will act as both a guardian and translator for young performers traveling

from China to the U.S. to work with an American theatrical production team. This position is

part of a two-person team and will report to the General Manager.

The guardian will be present in all rehearsal rooms, tech rehearsals, and performances.

Contract Duration: Approximately 2 weeks

Dates Needed: July 5th – July 19th

Qualifications:

 Patience and attentiveness

 Knowledge of the theatre industry

 Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with children

 Detail-oriented and punctual

 Prior childcare experience preferred

 CPR and First Aid certification

 Proficient or fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English
