Opportunity in Brief

NY Classical Theatre is seeking an individual to help expand the artistic vision of our programing. We are hiring a Casting Liaison to help expanding our talent search to historically underrepresented groups of actors and offering artistic consultation in all casting sessions, especially Equity Professional Auditions (EPAs). The ideal candidate self-identifies as: Black, Indigenous, Asian, Pacific Islander, Latinx/Latino, North African, Middle Eastern, and Indian or multiracial to offer NY Classical’s currently predominantly white leadership a creative partner with a valuable perspective, community network, and cultural heritage different from their own.

If NYS/NYC pandemic (COVID-19) restrictions continue to prohibit in-person auditions, this job can be performed entirely remotely.

Commitment and compensation: 23 hours for each production at $36 per hour. No NY Classical Theatre employees receive fringe benefits from the company at this time. The position is only for the 2020-21 season at this time and may extend upon mutual agreement.
