Seeking Theatrical Associate Production Managers

A theatrical production management company based in New York City is seeking Associate Production Managers immediately for a NYC-based commercial Off-Broadway Production. Due to changing dates, additional staff is required to manage the overlapping productions.

An ideal Associate Production Manager thrives on doing things right the first time. As an advocate for clients, you protect their vision, budget, and reputation. You lead by example—modeling flexibility and an open mind while maintaining a strong focus on safety. You actively participate in all stages of production, from planning through execution, building relationships and proactively solving problems.

Job Dates:

Start Date: June 23rd 2025

End Date: August 1st 2025

Job Expectations:

· Collaborate with the Production Manager to build and manage physical production budgets and calendars.

· Plan, facilitate, and follow up on design meetings, production meetings, site surveys, and shop visits.

· Work with Production Heads on strategic planning before and during the load in process

· Foster a team-oriented environment that welcomes the exchange of ideas.

· Coordinate with vendors on rental quotes and orders, including delivery and pick-up logistics.

· Work with internal labor coordinators to book crews, considering the specific needs of each production and the dynamics of an effective team.

· Create and share safety plans and procedures for onsite work.

· Maintain a calm and professional onsite presence for both clients and crew.

· Conduct post-project reconciliations and maintain accurate production archives.

· Gather feedback and support continuous process improvement with the management team.

Job Requirements:

· Must be NYC based.

· Strong working knowledge of technical theater disciplines, including scenic, lighting, costumes, props, audio/video, and effects.

· Familiarity with OSHA regulations and current theatrical industry safety practices.

· Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.

· Professional demeanor and composure in high-pressure environments.

· Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

· 2–5 years of experience in theatrical production and management roles.

Above all, a positive attitude is essential. We're looking for individuals known for staying calm, focused, and collaborative—even under pressure.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Weekly salary of $1,250.00 - $1,300.00 weekly.
