The A1s

This year's conference will be held in person just outside of NYC at Rider University, with a virtual option added as well. All in person attendees must be fully vaccinated.

The A1 Conference accepts both union and non-equity actors. There are two audition rooms; one for musical theatre actors and one for non-musical actors. We hold interviews for Music Directors, Technical Staff, and Stage Managers interested in employment at the countries' top regional houses and entertainment companies.

All actors must apply for an audition time slot. All applicants will be pre-screened prior to the audition by our staff, we offer roughly 30% of applicants an audition spot. Callbacks for the individual theatres will be held the evening after the actors assigned audition day.

The A1s differ from the other large-scale calls as we are a true conference. If not granted an audition slot we highly suggest applicants take advantage of nearly 100 workshops with Broadway actors and creatives, discounted Broadway show tickets, resources, and much more.

This year's Key Note Speakers include:

Lorin Latarro

Rob McClure

Kenny Seymour

The audition portion of the All-in-One Conference (The A1s) is an opportunity to be seen by the Artistic Directors and/or Casting Directors of the country's leading regional theatres and entertainment companies all in one day. In order for theatres and companies to attend the A1 Conference, they must

  • Be actively seeking actors or behind the scenes staff for employment
  • Be recommended by both major industry players and those who have worked for the companies previously

All MDs, Stage Managers, and Tech Staff are accepted on a first come, first served basis. We have extremely limited spots for these categories.
