Fall 2021 classes at Primary Stages ESPA start next week! Our Fall semester will take place entirely online and is jam-packed with new and exciting classes to help you revamp your auditioning skills, including Demystifying the Casting Process with Casting Director Stephanie Klapper and Meisner and the Monologue with actor Celestine Rae:

Demystifying the Casting Process - STARTS SEPTEMBER 28!

Instructor: Stephanie Klapper (Casting Director, Stephanie Klapper Casting)

With the theater world constantly changing, auditioning right now can feel like the Wild West - how can you connect virtually? Are we moving into in-person auditions? How can you set boundaries and be safe, but still book the gig? Guided by casting director Stephanie Klapper, you'll have an honest, positive, and proactive conversation about what auditioning in this current world means and explore techniques to create the best audition possible.

Meisner and the Monologue - STARTS SEPTEMBER 28!

Instructor: Celestine Rae (Actor, Manhood at National Black Theatre, "The Blacklist," American Gangster)

The right monologue is key to showcasing your abilities as an actor, but too often actors "present" their monologues, ultimately undermining their talent by not embodying their work with their full self. In this 5-week class with actor Celestine Rae, you will use the Meisner Technique to move your monologue work from the presentational to the intimate.
