Wrecks, directed by LaBute, opened at the Public Theater's Anspacher Theater on Oct. 10, after previews from Sept. 26. The play sold out its original run and then extended for three extra weeks. Harris also starred in the play's world premiere at the Everyman Palace Theatre in Cork, Ireland, in Nov. 2005.

The play takes place during a funeral service. Harris plays Ed, a man who has just lost his wife of 30 years, JoJo.

Emergence-See! began previews Oct. 10 and opened Oct. 22 at the Public Theater's LuEsther Hall. Kenny Leon directed the one-man play in which, according to press notes, "a slave ship rises out of the Hudson River in front of the Statue of Liberty, sending NYC into a frenzy." In the work, Beaty takes on 40 diverse personalities.

Julia Cho's play Durango continues at the Public's Martinson Hall, where it opens Nov. 20.

Ed Harris received Academy Award nominations for his performances in "Pollock," "The Hours," "The Truman Show" and "Apollo 13" and stars in the the current film "Copying Beethoven." His stage credits include Taking Sides, Precious Sons (Drama Desk Award), Fool for Love (Obie Award), Prairie Avenue, Scar, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Grapes of Wrath, Sweet Bird of Youth and Simpatico (Lucille Lortel Award). LaBute's plays include Fat Pig, The Mercy Seat, The Shape of Things and bash. He has written and directed the films "The Wicker Man," "The Shape of Things," "Possession," "Your Friends & Neighbors" and "In the Company of Men."

Beaty has previously been seen on HBO's "Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry" as well as NBC's "Showtime at the Apollo" and BET's "106 & Park." He is the 2004 Grand Slam Champion at the Nuyorican Poet's Café and the Fox Network's National Redemption Slam Champion.
