West End musical farce Maddie: A New Musical is coming to Off-Broadway's Players Theatre, with performances set to run May 8–June 8. The staging will be directed and choreographed by Andrew Winans (A Chorus Line).

Based on Jack Finney's Marion's Wall, the work follows a couple in the late 1970s who uncover a spooky message written in lipstick behind their new East Village apartment's peeling wallpaper, leading to a ghostly visit from the message's author, set on a second chance at stardom. The musical, which played London's Lyric Theatre in 1997, features music by Stephen Keeling, lyrics by Shaun McKenna, and a book by McKenna and Steven Dexter. Orchestrations and arrangements are by Joshua Gregg Fried.

The Off-Broadway bow will feature Kelly Maur as Maddie, along with Joe Lewis, Lexis Trechak, Shannon Payette Seip, Truman Griffin, Logan Durrah Broadnax, Justin Burr, Zoe-Maria Rivera, Hanna Scotch, Jorge Valero, and Alysia Vastardis.

The production will be music directed by Matthew Zwiebel, with dramaturgy by Ryan Henry, intimacy direction by Ashley Klinger, projection design by Claire Talbott, costume and prop design by Danny Durr, and lighting design by Jess Choi. Andy Crosten of Bennett Theatricals is serving as executive producer and general manager.
