Video Watch Jenn Colella Invite Everyone to Pay It Forward on Behalf of a Real-Life Come From Away Character

The Broadway favorite launches 11 Days of Kindness, a project started by one of the real-life people depicted in the Broadway musical.

Come From Away Tony nominee Jenn Colella invites everyone to spread kindness in an original video for one of her favorite charities, Pay It Forward 9/11. Watch the Broadway favorite kick off 11 Days of Kindness, which culminates with the National Day of Remembrance and Service September 11, in the video above.

Pay It Forward 9/11 was founded by Kevin Tuerff, one of the many stranded Americans depicted in the Tony-nominated Come From Away. For 20 years, the annual Pay It Forward 9/11 campaign has inspired kind and compassionate individuals, corporate groups, and schools to unify during #11DaysofKindness. Everyone is invited to participate; those interested can register at PayItForward911.org and perform three random acts of kindness for strangers September 1-11.

"After the 9/11 attacks, people all over the world came together as one to help each other and support those in need," says founder Tuerff. "Now is the time to plan an act of kindness with other people in your circles, register your kindness commitment online, and help restore unity through kindness and create a ripple effect."

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this kindness movement, Pay It Forward 9/11 and 9/11 survivors are gathering in Union Square 9-11 AM September 1 to inspire random acts of kindness. The event, held at the Xavier Mission, features remarks from 9/11 survivors followed by volunteers handing out free Starbucks coffee to passersby in the Union Square area. This is just one of many acts of kindness happening nationwide.
