Film & TV News Tony Winner Michael Aronov to Appear on Season Premiere of NBC’s The Blacklist The Broadway veteran won a Tony this year for his work in Oslo.

Tony winner Michael Aronov will appear on the first episode of NBC’s The Blacklist when the show returns this fall for its fifth season.

As a guest star on the episode, Aronov will play Smokey Putnam, “an expert in the art and science of logistics ... currently on the run accused of embezzling over $2 million.“

Aronov most recently appeared on TV as a guest star on CBS’ Madam Secretary and as Anton Baklanov in FX’s acclaimed series The Americans. He won his first Tony Award for his portrayal of Israeli negotiator Uri Savir in the political thriller Oslo at Lincoln Center Theater, which also won the 2017 Tony Award for Best Play. The show marked Aronov’s second Broadway credit; his first was Golden Boy, also at Lincoln Center.
