The documentary feature The Show Must Go On from Dori Berinstein and Sammi Cannold has been released on Apple TV in all territories, as well as on Broadway On Demand.

The Show Must Go on takes a look at the survival of theatre during the pandemic, featuring in particular Andrew Lloyd Webber, The Phantom of the Opera's world tour, and Cats' South Korean tour.

When in-person theatre shut down in March, 2020, South Korea was the only country which did not halt productions. The documentary subsequently follows the companies of two productions that pushed ahead during the pandemic in Seoul in contrast with how composer Andrew Lloyd Webber used them in his arguments of how to approach theatre on the West End during the pandemic.

The film originally premiered at Broadway’s Majestic Theatre and limited-time streaming via Broadway On Demand in 2021. Sierra Boggess, Ariana DeBose, Josh Groban, Ali Ewoldt, Shereen Pimentel, Adrienne Warren, and the world touring cast of The Phantom of the Opera all performed at the event

The feature, which takes place primarily in South Korea, is co-directed and produced by Berinstein and Cannold. The Dramatic Forces production also includes WYSIWYG Studios Korea, CEO Kwan-woo Park, and Elizabeth Armstrong as executive producers.

Cats' South Korean tour is produced by S&Co Korea by arrangement with The Really Useful Group, and general managed by GWB Entertainment. The Really Useful Group & Troika Entertainment produces the world tour of The Phantom of The Opera, which is general managed by GWB Entertainment. In South Korea, The Phantom of the Opera is presented by S&Co Korea.
