Tony winner Stephanie J. Block will join actor, musician, radio host, and Playbill columnist Seth Rudetsky February 22 at 7:30 PM for a one-night-only performance of his Broadway Concert Series for Theatre Aspen at the Harris Concert Hall in Aspen, Colorado.
Attendees can expect behind-the-scenes stories from Block's career as well as tunes from her Broadway outings, including The Boy From Oz, 9 to 5: The Musical, Falsettos, and Into the Woods.
Producing Director Jed Bernstein said in a statement, "We’re so pleased to have Seth Rudetsky return to Aspen after his success here last year with a new, highly lauded actor. Stephanie J. Block is one of our favorite performers, and we can’t wait for Aspen audiences to witness her vocal prowess live for this unforgettable evening.”
Block's Broadway credits include Into the Woods, The Cher Show (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle Award winner), Falsettos (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle nominations), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Tony, Drama Desk nominations), Anything Goes, 9 to 5: The Musical (Drama Desk nomination), The Pirate Queen, The Boy From Oz, and Wicked. Off-Broadway she was seen in the City Center Encores! Brigadoon, Little Miss Sunshine (Drama Desk nomination), and By the Way, Meet Vera Stark (Drama Desk nomination). She was also Norma Desmond in the the Kennedy Center staging of Sunset Boulevard and Lilli Vanessi/Katharine in the recent London revival of Kiss Me, Kate.
