More casting has been revealed for the upcoming U.K. premiere of White Rose: The Musical, set to perform at London's Marylebone Theatre February 27-April 13. Opening night will be March 4.
Joining previously announced stars Collette Guitart (Why Am I So Single?) as Sophie and Tobias Turley (Mamma Mia!) as Hans will be Owen Arkrow as Will, Danny Colligan as Max, Charley Robbie as Lila, Thomas Sutcliffe as Karl, Danny Whelan as Christoph, Mark Willshire as Kurt Huber, and Ollie Wray as Frederick. Understudies Millie Robins and Nathan Shaw will round out the company. Casting is by Harry Blumenau.
The musical, which premiered Off-Broadway in 2024, is based on a true story, and features a book and lyrics by Brian Belding, with music by Natalie Brice. The musical follows a group of university-level student activists who stood up to Hitler in Nazi Germany, risking everything by creating and distributing leaflets that challenged his propaganda. Will Nunziata again directs.
The production will also feature music direction by Caitlin Morgan, orchestrations by Paul Schofield, scenic design by Justin Williams, lighting design by Alex Musgrave, and sound design by Dan Samson.
