Sarah Snook has won the 2025 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Play for her tour-de-force performance in Kip Williams' solo play adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray.
In the Tony Press Room, Snook weighed in on if this was the end of her journey with Williams' piece, which also won her an Olivier, or if she might be seen in an up coming film adaptation—which has been optioned by Cate Blanchett's Dirty Films.
"I have no idea! I know as much as you do, in terms of where that is. I don't know how this gets turned into a film: it's a particularly complex piece to do as a theatre show, so I don't know how it will have to dramaturgically evolves. I think Kip would be an incredible director for that project and if I got to be a part of that, that would be a dream come true. But who knows!"
