Hedwig and the Angry Inch
People born under Aries are confident and determined, much like the internationally ignored song-stylist Hedwig. Regardless of how many times they get knocked down, Aries will always tap into their strength to try again. Being an earth sign means Tauruses are always pragmatic, not one to ignore reality—even if it is dangerous or scary. On the flip side, you appreciate saturating and indulging your senses. Cabaret gives you both—its backdrop of Berlin during the rise of the Nazi regime gives the movie a serious tone, juxtaposed with the beautiful cinematography, memorable Kander and Ebb songs, and Liza Minnelli's divinely decadent performance. As the Emcee says, leave your troubles outside, because in here life is beautiful!
(May 21–June 20)
My Fair Lady
Charming, effervescent and with a flair for the flamboyant, Geminis are the social butterflies of the zodiac. Geminis are gifted with being able to fit into any setting—much like My Fair Lady's Eliza Doolittle. The movie follows a poor flower-seller's transformation into an elite socialite, full of catchy songs, lavish costumes, and the fabulous Audrey Hepburn.
(June 21–July 22)
Fiddler on the Roof
If you're a Cancer, you value family and community, and easily empathize with the feelings of others. Fiddler on the Roof revolves around these notions, as the movie follows Tevye navigating the changes happening in his family and little village of Antevka. Can Tevye keep his balance as his world and traditions are turned upside down?
(July 23–August 22)
The Phantom of the Opera
There's no other musical movie that captures the passion and panache of a Leo than The Phantom of the Opera. Told from the perspective of Christine Daae, a young chorus girl who suddenly finds herself thrust into the role of a prima donna at the Paris Opera and at the center of a love triangle with a wealthy young noble and a disfigured musical genius who lives inside the opera house, this movie features big egos and even bigger vocals. A visually lush film with a bombastic score is guaranteed to delight any and every Leo.
(August 23–September 22)
Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella
Virgos are famous for their practicality and resourcefulness. The film is a whimsical, star-studded twist on the beloved classic, and features a diverse cast of powerhouses (hello, Brandy, Bernadette, and Whitney!), and will have even the most down-to-earth Virgo believing in the impossible.

Hairspray is the perfect match for Libra's love of justice, equality, and harmonious relationships. Libras know that achieving these three ideas isn't easy, which will have you rooting for the movie's protagonist, Tracy Turnblad, as she becomes aware of and fights against the prejudice and discrimination rampant in her community. By the end of the movie, Tracy's triumphs will have your heart bursting, your toes tapping, and your soul realizing you can't stop the beat—nor would you want to.

Vibrant, independent, and colorful are just a few words that not only accurately describe those born under the sign of Sagittarius, but also the cinematic adaptation of Mamma Mia!. Just like Sophie and Donna, the main characters of Mamma Mia! who appreciate their freedom and the energy of the lush Greek isle they live on, Sags are romantic, curious souls who never stop asking questions, and appreciate the power of a good dance number set to ABBA.
(December 22–January 19)
Working your way to the top? Sounds like a Capricorn. This ambitious and hard-working sign knows that pursuing your goals can mean struggles and sacrifice. Dreamgirls, heavily inspired by Motown record label and one of its acts, The Supremes, follows a 1960s R&B girl group as they climb the charts and gain notoriety. However, the more famous they become, the more obstacles and compromises take place behind the scenes.
(January 20–February 18)
There are few things Aquarians love more than defying convention or journeying on the road-less-traveled. Deeply creative and forward-thinking, they are always looking to create something monumental and impactful—much like the characters in Rent. The film adaptation of Jonathan Larson's 90's East Village retelling of La Bohéme, is in itself out-of-the-box, impassioned, and features a dynamic and diverse cast of characters. Of all the signs, Aquarians most embody the Bohemian spirit, which makes this film a perfect go-to watch.
(February 19–March 20)
Pisces are very in-tune with their emotions, and feel them very deeply. They are generous and caring, often looking out for others and forgiving quickly. Les Misérables' large cast of characters provide plenty of opportunities for Pisces to examine human relationships and sympathize with their conditions. While the setting of 19th-century France makes for moments of action, the haunting music beautifully expresses the characters' most intimate thoughts and needs, so don't forget the tissues.
