Something Rotten!

Hayley Goldstein: Something Rotten! The concept – the original musical comedy! Sounds hysterical, and Christian Borle and Brian D'Arcy James heading the cast? Count me in!

Set in the 1590's, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are two desperate playwrights who badly want to find success but are stuck in the shadow of Renaissance rock star "The Bard." The brothers set out on a mission to write the world's first-ever musical, but will need to contend with William Shakespeare along the way. Billed as an "irresistible ode to musicals," the show will star Tony winner Christian Borle and Brian d'Arcy James in the lead roles. Something Rotten! will open March 23 at the St. James Theatre and is helmed by The Book of Mormon director-choreographer Casey Nicholaw
