Polls Readers Sound Off On Casting The Wiz! Following this week's exciting announcement that the next NBC live broadcast will be a reimagining of The Wiz, Playbill.com took to social media to ask readers to dreamcast the TV production that will subsequently arrive on Broadway.

The Wiz premiered on Broadway in 1975 with Stephanie Mills in the lead role as Dorothy. The show won seven Tony Awards including Best Musical. It received a film adaptation in 1978 and was revived on Broadway in 1984, also with Mills.
