The opening program of Fall for Dance 2007 , running September 26 and 27, features the Paul Taylor Dance Company performing Arden Court, the Kirov Ballet of the Mariinsky Theatre in Middle Duet by Bolshoi Ballet artistic director Alexei Ratmansky, Indian dancer/choreographer Shantala Shivalingappa performing a new work in the kuchipudi tradition of South India, and Juilliard Dance in Twyla Tharp's famous Beach Boys piece, Deuce Coupe.
The five remaining programs include:
- September 28 — the French hip-hop troupe Compagnie K‹fig; ABT soloists in the pas de deux from Le Corsaire; Ballet Hispanico; the world premiere of Carmen deLavallade's The Fifth Wheel (performed on wheels); Doug Varone and Dancers in Lux, set to the music of Philip Glass.
- September 29-30 — the Lyon Opera Ballet in Maguy Marin's Grosse Fuge (New York premiere); dancer Johan Kobborg in Tim Rushton's Afternoon of a Faun; ballet star Mats Ek and his wife, Ana Laguna, in the U.S. premiere of Ek's duet Memory; Tango Connection; 10 Foot 5, a company of young musicians, percussionists and rhythm tap dancers from Minneapolis.
- October 2-3 — the New York debut of the Royal Ballet of Flanders; Keigwin + Company; Damian Woetzel of New York City Ballet in Jerome Robbins's A Suite of Dances; Urban Bush Women.
- October 4 — excerpts from Karole Armitage's Ligeti Essays, performed by Armitage Gone! Dance; Kyle Abraham's Inventing Pookie Jenkins; Morphoses/The Wheeldon Company in the pas de deux from Christopher Wheeldon's After the Rain; the Trisha Brown Dance Company; Noche Flamenca.
- October 5-6 — the U.S. debut of Srishti _Nina Rajarani Dance Creations, featuring a contemporary version of South Indian bharata natyam; choreographer/dancer Camille A. Brown; Elisa Monte Dance in the company's signature piece, Treading; Boston Ballet in the New York premiere of Jorma Elo's Brake the Eyes; the U.S. debut of South Africa's Via Katlehong Dance.
