Pageant: The Musical (Off-Broadway at the Davenport Theatre). The Off-Broadway revival of the Bill Russell-Frank Kelly-Albert Evans musical Pageant is directed by Matt Lenz. The production features contestants Nick Cearley, Nic Cory, Alex Ringler, Marty Thomas, Seth Tucker and Curtis Wiley, with Drama Desk nominee John Bolton as the host. Here's how it's billed: "Like every beauty pageant you've seen before, Pageant features contestants desperately vying for a glittering tiara. With swimsuit, talent, and evening gown competitions – the show includes both the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat! Unlike some beauty pageants you've seen before, the female contestants are all played by men. And the audience gets to select the winner each night. Filled with excitement and suspense, but first and foremost, beauty. Let the beauty begin!" Visit PageantMusical.com.

The Fatal Weakness (Off-Broadway at the Mint Theater Company). The Fatal Weakness, George Kelly's comedy about romance, marriage and commitment, features Cliff Bemis, Cynthia Darlow, Kristin Griffith, Sean Patrick Hopkins, Patricia Kilgarriff and Victoria Mack. Here's how the production is billed: "The Fatal Weakness tells the story of Ollie Espenshade, who, after 28 years of marriage is still an incurable romantic (her fatal weakness). Perhaps discovering that her husband is a lying cheat will cure her?" Visit MintTheater.org.

Scenes from a Marriage (Off-Broadway at New York Theatre Workshop). Tina Benko, Dallas Roberts and Roslyn Ruff star in Ivo van Hove's stage adaptation of Ingmar Bergman's epic film documenting the dissolution of a relationship. In his seventh collaboration with NYTW, Dutch director van Hove returns with the U.S. premiere of Scenes from a Marriage in a new English adaptation by Emily Mann. According to NYTW, "In this highly theatrical production of Ingmar Bergman's popular 1974 film 'Scenes from a Marriage,' an ensemble of virtuosic actors invites audiences into an intimate space to experience collectively the human dynamics of a relationship through all the stages of a life – from youth, to middle age to maturity. Van Hove’s interpretation illuminates the universal themes of love, identity and vulnerability that are at the heart of Bergman’s timeless film." Visit NYTW.org.
