The world premiere of Lady in Denmark, written by Goodman artistic associate and Alice resident artist Dael Orlandersmith, is scheduled to run October 19–November 18 in the Owen Theatre. Directed by Chay Yew the production stars Linda Gehringer as Helene, a Danish-American woman who finds solace after the death of her husband in the hauntingly beautiful music of their favorite singer, Billie Holiday.

The creative team includes set design by Andrew Boyce, costume design by Christine Pascual, lighting design by Lee Fiskness, original music and sound design by Mikhail Fiksel, projection design by Stephan Mazurek, dramaturg Tanya Palmer, production stage manager Donald E. Claxon, and casting by Adam Belcuore.
