Anna Miriam Brown's new musical reimagines the story of Jesus.

Industry workshop presentations of His Story, The Musical will be held April 7-8 at New 42 Studios prior to a national tour of the new musical this fall. 

Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun will direct the workshop of the musical, which features a book, music, and lyrics by Anna Miriam Brown. The cast includes Joshua Bess, Sam Brackley, Blake Du Bois, Travis Flynt, Emilee Hassandzadeh, Gigi Hausman, Jataria Heyward, Madeline Hudelson, Lauren Johnson, Casey Lamont, Jared Mazeika, Bryan Munar, Kaitlin Niewoehner, Alexa Renee, Jonathan Reyes, Cameron Sirian, Sean Stack, and Charles P. Way.

Set in the Holy Land, His Story reimagines the story of Jesus with a teenager girl asking God to send the Messiah and create a better kingdom and her wish coming true 30 years later when Jesus arrives in town defying traditional expectations.

Joining Calhoun on the creative team are choreographer Eamon Foley, music supervisor and arranger Rick Hip-Flores, scenic and costume design consultant Tobin Ost, and sound designer Daniel Lundberg. Casting is by Wojcik Casting, while Visceral Entertainment will serve as general manager, Sydney Prince as stage manager, and Cynthia Caridad as assistant stage manager.
