Co-founded by Peters and the late Mary Tyler Moore, the event features celebrities of the Great White Way helping to find homes for animals in need from 28 participating NY-area shelters. The event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, begins at 3 PM; celebrity presentations of adoptable pets will take place between 5–6:30 PM.
Since its founding, more than 2,000 cats and dogs have been adopted thanks to a bit of help from their famous Broadway pals. Approximately 85 percent of these furry friends have successfully found forever homes.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information about Broadway Barks, visit BroadwayBarks.com.
