Hannah Gadsby's new solo show Douglas will now play an additional week at the Daryl Roth Theater this summer. Following the success of her Netflix sensation Nanette (which also played Off-Broadway), the Australian comedian is set to return to New York with a brand-new act.

The show's namesake, according to producers, is “a very specific dog,” and the only thing they have in common with Gadsby is inspiring the comedian to put pen to paper and turn out another show.

Douglas, which is written and performed by Gadsby, will play a five-week engagement at the Daryl Roth Theater beginning July 23; performances will now continue through August 24. The Off-Broadway run will be a culmination of a U.S. tour, starting in San Francisco in April.

Douglas had its world premiere in Melbourne, Australia, March 27.

The upcoming American premiere is presented by WestBeth Entertainment.
