Had It Blue and To All the Black Girls Who've Waited tied for winners of Best Production at New York Theater Festival's 2022 Winterfest.

The Festival, now in its 25th year, presented 88 productions throughout October and November 2022 at the Off-Broadway venue Teatro LATEA. 

Had It Blue, featuring a book and lyrics by Paul Pecorino and music by David Nehls, tells the story of The Barman and his biggest fans, the Goddesses of Fabulosity and The Muses of the Moonshine, who take The Barman on a "yellow brick road" journey. Jerry Dixon directed.

Hope Ward's To All the Black Girls Who’ve Waited is a choreopoem that tackles the complexities of Black womanhood through language and movement.
