Most Unwanted Productions is currently presenting the New York premiere of the interactive parlor game, Out of Order, through July 23 at the East Village Basement.

Written and performed by Carl Holder, performances began June 27. Get a first look at the limited engagement, developed with and directed by Obie winner Skylar Fox (The Grown-Ups, Fat Ham), in the gallery below. Simon Henriques is also part of the production.

Part play, part high-stakes game of emotional Russian Roulette, Out of Order puts Holder’s fate in the hands of a giant bowl of index cards. Each one tells him—and audiences—what to do next. No performance is ever the same.

Press notes state, "For the past year, he’s toured the country, training for this night. And if he fails to complete the challenge, he’ll quit theatre forever. We’re not joking."

Holder's many plays include Until You Come Back to Me, Waiter and Two Octopuses, Charleses, An Intimate Evening with Typhoid Mary, and re:opening.
