Film & TV News Fleabag Sweeps and Fosse/Verdon’s Michelle Williams Wins at 2019 TCA Awards The Television Critics Association showered love on the Broadway-adjacent shows August 3.

The Television Critics Association acknowledged Fleabag and Fosse/Verdon as two of the best series this past season during the 2019 TCA Awards August 3.

Michelle Williams won Individual Achievement in Drama for Fosse/Verdon, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge won Individual Achievement in Comedy for Fleabag. The series also won the Program of the Year and Outstanding Achievement in Comedy awards.

The performers both have ties to the New York theatre community, with Tony-nominated Williams (Blackbird, Cabaret) taking on Broadway in both plays and musicals. Waller-Bridge starred in the Off-Broadway production of Fleabag earlier this year, which inspired the Amazon TV series. She'll soon bring the show to London's West End.
