Tony Award winner Christine Baranski and Oscar nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo go crown-to-crown in The Two Princes, a new fantasy series from Gimlet. Ahead of the podcast’s June 4 launch, get an exclusive listen to the two royals in the clip above.

Noah Galvin (Dear Evan Hansen, Waitress) and The Band’s Visit Tony winner Ari'el Stachel star as Prince Rupert and Prince Amir, who encounter each other—and subsequently navigate awakened, complex feelings for one another—as they embark on a quest to defeat a mysterious evil that plagues their kingdoms.

Baranski and Aghdashloo play their respective mothers, who seem to have a complicated relationship themselves marred by old feuds, bloodshed, and a cryptic prophecy.

The LGBTQ+ series, penned by Kevin Christopher Snipes, also features Tony winner Laura Benanti, Tony nominees Daphne Rubin-Vega and Richard Kind, and Emmy winners Matthew Rhys and Samira Wiley, as well as Mandi Masden, Omar Metwally, Alfredo Narciso, Sean Pertwee, and CJ Wilson.

Gimlet Executive Producer for Scripted Fiction Mimi O’Donnell directs. All episodes will drop on Spotify and podcast services June 4.
