Exclusive Clip: Watch Kenneth Branagh as Shakespeare in All Is True | Playbill

Video Exclusive Clip: Watch Kenneth Branagh as Shakespeare in All Is True The clip from the upcoming movie, starring Branagh as the playwright and Judi Dench as his wife, offers a peek into from where Shakespeare got his inspiration.

Kenneth Branagh undergoes a physical transformation in the upcoming film All Is True, in which the Oscar-nominated actor-director—and Shakespearean interpreter—brings the Bard himself to life.

In the clip above, a student questions how Shakespeare can write so knowingly about experiences he has never had. Watch the video above to see his answer!

The film, directed by Branagh, also stars Judi Dench as Shakespeare's wife Anne, and Ian McKellen as the Earl of Southampton (who was often on the receiving end of the Bard's sonnets) and is set in Stratford-Upon-Avon in the days following Shakespeare's return to his family after the Globe theatre burned down.

All Is True is set for release in New York City and Los Angeles May 10.
