Performances begin January 30 for the Signature Theatre’s production of Edward Albee’s At Home at the Zoo, an evening of two plays by the late, celebrated playwright directed by Drama Desk Award winner Lila Neugebauer (Everybody, The Wolves). The production is in honor of former resident playwright Albee, who passed away in 2016.

Edward Albee’s At Home at the Zoo will officially open February 21, and is scheduled to play through March 11.

The cast is made up of two-time Tony Award winner Katie Finneran (Noises Off; Promises, Promises), Tony winner and House star Robert Sean Leonard (The Invention of Love), and Emmy nominee Paul Sparks (House of Cards, Boardwalk Empire).

In act one, Albee’s play Homelife, we meet Peter and his wife, who live a comfortable but unhappy bourgeois existence. In the second act, the play The Zoo Story, Peter’s life is changed by the arrival of a persistent stranger in Central Park.

The creative team is made up of scenic designer Andrew Lieberman, costume designer Kaye Voyce, lighting designer Japhy Weideman, and sound designer Bray Poor. UnkleDave’s Fight House is doing the fight direction. David Lurie-Perret is the production stage manager. Casting is by Caparelliotis Casting.
