Donmar Warehouse's Outgoing Artistic Director Josie Rourke has revealed two of the productions for her 16th and final season of programming at the London venue, including the U.K. premiere of Lynn Nottage’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Sweat.

Lynette Linton will direct the U.K. debut of Nottage’s examination of America’s eroding working class, which played Broadway in 2017. The Donmar production runs December 7–January 26, 2019.

Production designer Tom Scutt will make his directorial debut at the Donmar early next year with the world-premiere stage adaptation of filmmaker Peter Strickland’s 2012 indie thriller Berberian Sound Studio, which runs February 8–March 30, 2019.

The dark comedy about a foley artist who takes a job designing sound for an Italian giallo horror film, which mesmerized moviegoers with its chillingly immersive soundscape. Sibling sound designers and composers Ben and Max Ringham will collaborate on the stage adaptation, which will star Tom Brooke, Enzo Cilenti, and Tom Espiner.

Rourke has yet to reveal a final production of the upcoming season, which will open in April 2019.
