The Villain Kids return to the small screen as Descendants 3 premieres on Disney Channel August 2.

High School Musical’s Kenny Ortega returns to direct the latest installment, starring recent Off-Broadway alum and The Light in the Piazza star Dove Cameron. Broadway vet Cheyenne Jackson joins the franchise to play Hades.

The sequel follows the VKs—the offspring of infamous Disney villains—who return to their birthplace (the Isle of the Lost) to recruit four fellow kids, bringing them back to the more idyllic Auradon City and the coveted boarding school Auradon Prep.

The cast also includes Cameron Boyce (who passed away at the age of 20 in July) as Carlos, Sofia Carson as Evie, Booboo Stewart as Jay, Thomas Doherty as Harry, China Anne McClain as Uma, Dylan Playfair as Gil, Anna Cathcart as Dizzy, Mitchel Hope as King Ben, Sarah Jeffrey as Audrey, Jedidiah Goodacre as Chad, Zachary Gibson as Doug, Brenna D’Amico as Jane, Judith Maxie as Queen Leah, Dan Payne as Beast, Melanie Paxson as Fairy Godmother, and Keegan Connor Tracy as Belle.

Meanwhile, Disney's upcoming streaming service Disney+ has a slate of theatre-adjacent programming, from the meta-series High School Musical: The Musical to the Kristen Bell–hosted Encore!
