Broadway's current John Adams, Crystal Lucas-Perry, has taken to song to express the impact playing the character in 1776 has had on her own artistic journey. Check out the original tune "With A Me" in the video above. 

The Roundabout Theatre Company and American Repertory Theater co-production of 1776 began Broadway previews September 16 at the American Airlines Theatre and officially opens October 6. To celebrate the revival's opening, "With A Me" will be available to download on all streaming platforms on October 6. 

Jeffrey L. Page and Diane Paulus co-direct the Sherman Edwards-Peter Stone musical about the founding fathers on the brink of signing the Declaration of Independence. The production's cast of "cool, cool considerate men" is composed entirely of performers who identify as female, transgender, and non-binary.
